Über uns
Das Informationszentrum (IC) des DAAD in Erbil wurde im Oktober 2011 eingerichtet. Unser Ziel ist es, den akademischen Austausch zwischen Deutschland und dem Irak zu fördern.
Hochschulen in Deutschland und in der ganzen Welt pflegen ein internationales Netzwerk an Kontakten zu Partnereinrichtungen. Mit seinen Förderprogrammen lädt der DAAD die deutschen Hochschulen ein, diese Netzwerke weiter auszubauen.
Der DAAD betrachtet das Ende der Förderzeit als Beginn einer langjährigen Beziehung mit seinen Alumni. Wir haben uns dabei zum Ziel gesetzt, den Kontakt der Alumni untereinander und mit dem DAAD zu fördern, sei es durch die Unterstützung bei der Gründung von Alumni Clubs, sei es durch vielfältige Förderprogramme und Maßnahmen.

• 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐞 (𝐂𝐕) – tabular format, maximum 3 pages
• 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 – maximum 10 pages, if applicable
• 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – 1–2 pages explaining your academic and personal reasons for pursuing your project in Germany and what you hope to gain from it
• 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥 + 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 – maximum 10 pages in total. The proposal must be your own work and should be discussed with your academic supervisor in Germany
• 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 – all degrees already obtained (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s), including final grades
• 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 – showing the individual grades from your undergraduate and postgraduate studies
• 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – one recent recommendation letter from a university teacher
• 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲, if your doctorate will be conducted in English
(e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, onSET or PTE Academic – the certificate must meet the DAAD requirements and must not be older than 3 years)
• 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 with your photo, full name, date of birth and country of origin
(passport, ID card, driving licence or student ID can be uploaded for the application; a valid passport will be required for the visa)

You additionally need:
• Module plan
• Proof of existing contact with the coordinator of the doctoral programme
• Letter of admission to the doctoral programme
(this can be submitted later if it is not yet available when you apply)

We just wrapped up two successful online workshops on Proposal Writing for Master’s/PhD Students and Competitive Research Proposal Writing.
